Hood Warfare 2 Game Modes: All Six Objectives Explained

Hood Warfare 2 has six modes. GangBang and Chaos reward kills; Turf War, Hit A Lick, Destroy The Block and Chain Snatch each require a different objective.

Choose the objective before the loadout

The mode summaries below separates the developer's published rules from our preparation suggestions. The rules explain what earns the result; the suggestions are ways to organise your attention, not tested winning strategies.

Team objective

Turf War

Rule: Your gang scores from the turf it controls.

Preparation: Choose a territory to defend or help retake. Chasing a distant fight can leave the scoring area unprotected.

Team combat

GangBang

Rule: The gang with the most kills wins.

Preparation: Look for a route back to your teammates after a respawn. Isolated fights make it harder to support the team.

Free-for-all

Chaos

Rule: Players compete individually; the highest kill count wins.

Preparation: There are no friendly players to cover your flank. Treat a crowded fight differently from a safe team position.

Team objective

Hit A Lick

Rule: Take the enemy bag back to your hood while protecting your own.

Preparation: Plan both legs of the journey: reaching the bag and returning with it. A clear approach does not guarantee a clear exit.

Round-based

Destroy The Block

Rule: One gang attacks with a bomb, the other defends. Each player has one life per round.

Preparation: Identify your side before acting. A risky solo duel has a different cost when you cannot respawn in the same round.

Team objective

Chain Snatch

Rule: Pick up enemy chains to score and recover friendly chains before the opposition does.

Preparation: Check the route to a dropped chain. Winning the fight is only useful if you can reach the scoring item safely.

Team combat or free-for-all?

GangBang is the straightforward team shootout. Chaos removes the team structure: every other player is competition. Choose between them based on whether you want to practise working around teammates or reading threats on your own.

Do not carry assumptions from one into the other. A player beside you in Chaos is not a teammate, and a good individual duel in GangBang can still leave the rest of your gang without support. Before moving, look at the mode you actually joined.

Why a kill is not always the whole task

In Turf War, position matters because controlled territory produces points. An elimination can create space to contest or defend that territory, but the fight and the scoring objective are not identical.

Hit A Lick adds a return journey. Reaching the enemy bag is one part of the task; carrying it home while your own bag remains a concern changes where teammates may be useful. Decide whether you are going after the bag, supporting the return, or watching home.

Chain Snatch makes the distinction especially visible. A dropped enemy chain is a scoring opportunity, while recovering a friendly chain denies that opportunity to the other gang. Think about who can safely collect the item after a fight instead of counting the elimination alone.

Destroy The Block is a bomb objective

The official description specifies planting or defusing a bomb and one life per round. It does not describe a contest to destroy the most scenery. Confirm whether your gang is attacking or defending, then use that assignment to decide what needs protecting.

Because there is no second life within the round, avoid treating every encounter like a warm-up shootout. Staying available for the objective can matter more than taking an uncertain fight. Keep the bomb objective in mind when deciding whether to commit.

Practise one scoring action

Use a custom bot match to focus on one mode at a time. Before starting, name the action you want to understand: occupying turf, returning a bag, or reaching a dropped chain. After the match, ask whether the rule was clear without looking it up.

We do not list exact score limits, round timers or objective locations here. Those details can depend on the available match settings and need their own evidence. Read the current lobby and in-game objective indicators rather than assuming a number from another shooter applies.
